May 28, 1938- December 30, 2016
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Don, aged 78, on December 30, 2016, beloved husband of 58 years to wife Carol (Ellwood). Loving father of Douglas and husband Athan Bernabe, Don Jr. and partner Carol and Cheryl and husband Rick Bouwman. He will be greatly missed by his grandsons, Todd, Jason and Joel Bouwman and granddaughters Justine, Jessica and Julia Habkirk and the LIGHT OF HIS LIFE, Brennan Bouwman. He is also survived by twin brother Ron and sister Betty Sine. Cremation has taken place and as per his wishes a celebration of his life will take place on his birthday on May 28. The family has asked that any remembrances in his name be made to Milton Hospital Auxiliary. While our hearts are broken the family are relieved that his painful struggle is over and he is at rest. May our hearts be ever grateful for the love he gave us.
