ZUZEK, Ivan Frank In his 87th year, surrounded by his family, Ivan passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on May 9, 2018. A devoted husband of 52 years to Susan Zuzek and a loving father to Peter (Jen), Katie (Colin), Julie, and Brian (Jenn). Proud grandfather to Abby, Ruby, Cameron and Noah. Ivan will be received in heaven by his parents Mary and Ivan Zuzek, stepfather Joseph Primozich, mother-in-law Millicent O'Grady, his brothers Hank (Ivanka) and Robert (Denise) and brothers-in-law John Soltes and Martin O'Grady. He is survived by father-in-law Peter O'Grady, sisters Mary Soltes and Josie (Dick) Glass, sister-in-law Janet Zuzek, many nieces, nephews and loving relatives. Ivan worked hard to provide for his family, with 42 years of service at General Motors while playing accordion in his band The Bell Tones on weekends for nearly 40 years. His most cherished moments were spent with his family and friends, sharing laughs, wine and telling stories. As a founding member of the Niagara Vine to Wine Circle, Ivan shared his passion and skill for wine making with the club's members, winning many competitions. A funeral mass at St. Helen's Church (4106 Mountain Street, Beamsville), will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018. The family will greet visitors starting at 10 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at 13th Street Winery, 1776 4th Avenue, St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Saint Helen's Church Building Fund.
